Charlottesville Tune School Spring String Band Camp
April 10, 2008 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Charlottesville Tune School (C-Tunes) is pleased to announce its Spring String Bnd Camp, Monday April 7th-Friday April 11th, 9:00 a.m.-12 noon.
The camp will provide the oppportunity for kids ages 7-18 to learn to play old-time string band music together. The camp will offer instruction in fiddle. banjo, guitar, mandolin, and bass, as well as traditional singing and band performance.
On the last day, the students will set up a PA system and provide music for a traditional square dance.
Instructors for the camp are Alex Caton and Pete Vigour, co-founders of C-tunes. Alex an Pete are both full-time musicians and music teachers.
Cost is $120 per student if registered and paid in full before March 10th.
Cost is $130 if registered and paid after March 10th.
